Published in Laser & Photonics Reviews, we demonstrated the optical processing of the highest number (128) of optical data channels to date.
Combining strong light confinement and the highly nonlinear material aluminum gallium arsenide, we demonstrate a photonic chip for efficient nonlinear parametric processes. Thanks to the ultra‐high nonlinearity, high‐order phase‐matching can be utilized to dramatically increase the operation bandwidth while maintaining high efficiency, which enables ultra‐broadband optical signal processing with low energy consumption.
