Year 2017 marks the 150th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and Denmark.
With the support of the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science, the Royal Danish Embassy organized the Denmark-Japan Photonics seminar ”PHOTONICS CREATING THE FUTURE! ~ How collaboration of Danish and Japanese researchers is contributing to current and future innovation ~” on 16 November 2017 as one of the symbolic events celebrating the 150 years anniversary of the diplomatic relations and friendship between Japan and Denmark.
SPOC centre leader Leif Katsuo Oxenløwe and SPOC Flagship Leader Dr. Jan W. Thomsen, Head of Niels Bohr Institute, Copenhagen University participates in the seminar. The anniversary is celebrated throughout the year and in Japan alone, more than a hundred events will celebrate Danish art, design, music, food, fairytales and much more.
